Other First Aid Training Information

What Is The Difference Between The One Day Emergency First Aid at Work Course And The Three Day First Aid at Work Course?

At the conclusion of First Aid training, you must take a multiple-choice test. If you don’t pass it, you have one chance to retake it. You will need to reschedule and sit the course again if you fail a second time, allowing you two additional chances to retake it. We have industry-high pass rates though, so you can rest at ease.

Is Your First Aid Course Recognised?

Following successful completion of the course, each student is granted an FAIB certificate which is recognised by HSE and is valid for three years.

Our highly reviewed first aid courses are trusted by some of the UK's largest employers.

First Aid Training Derby

A first aid course teaches participants how to respond in an emergency. Everyone should be familiar with basic first aid procedures, such as how to assist someone who is injured or sick. Individuals who have completed a first aid course will be able to assess the situation and provide appropriate treatment.

Safety, injury assessment, and treatment will be covered by first aid instructors. Participants will learn when a person requires medical attention and when they do not. They will also learn how to recognise common injuries such as fractures, burns, cuts, and trauma. Bandages, dressings, splints, stitches, and plasters will also be covered as treatment options.

The course will also cover CPR and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Participants will learn how to identify a life-threatening situation, perform chest compressions and rescue breaths, and use an automated external defibrillator.

Finally, learners will learn how to stop bleeding, identify and manage pain, and treat skin and bone injuries.

People who take a first aid course will gain the knowledge and confidence to provide the best possible assistance in an emergency situation. They will also be better prepared to respond to a medical emergency in a timely, safe, and effective manner.

Participants can ensure that they are able to provide the best possible help at any given time by learning proper techniques for providing assistance during accidents or medical emergencies. Furthermore, understanding one’s role as a rescuer entails being aware of one’s legal obligations and exercising sound judgement when making decisions about providing care following an accident. This knowledge helps to prepare them for any situation, allowing them to act confidently if they ever need to come to the aid of another person in need.
