A first aid course covers essential topics to provide care in case of an injury or illness. All courses cover CPR, AED’s & Anaphylactic Shock as standard. Participants also learn how to properly bandage cuts and bruises, stop bleeding, and manage pain and swelling. They also learn about using antiseptic and antibiotics to prevent infection. The course teaches the use of materials such as cotton, gauze, and plasters. In case of deeper cuts, participants learn about the proper application of stitches. The use of a splint, crutches, and wheelchairs for injuries such as fractures is also covered. In case of a serious injury, participants learn about when to call an ambulance and the role of the hospital and doctor in providing further care. The course provides hands-on training and prepares individuals to effectively handle emergencies and provide life-saving first aid.
