Course overview
Our Emergency First Aid at Work Course (EFAW) runs from 9:00 – 16:00.
The EFAW training syllabus covers some important general first aid topics, including:
- What are the roles and responsibilities of the first aider?
- How should incidents be recorded and reported using a Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) form?
- What should a first aid kit contain?
- In a first aid emergency, how should you assess the situation and respond.
We also offer a 3 Day First Aid at Work Course, as well as a range of first aid courses.
For group bookings, we can deliver this course in house at your venue.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this emergency first aid at work course.
Modules breakdown
The course will also educate employees on how to handle a wide range of specific work-related situations, as well as teaching them cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Over the course of the emergency first aid training day, they will be taught how to deal with:
- Minor cuts, grazes, splinters, and burns
- Choking
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Diabetes
- Asthma
- Fractures
- Strokes
- Anaphylactic shock
- Heart attacks and angina
- Asthma
- Unconscious colleagues
